Welcome to our Mabon page! Here we will have all the need-to-know information for our event, including how to RSVP.

Date:  Saturday September 16, 2023

5:30 to 6:30 - Gathering and hangout time with appetizers and beverages available.

6:30 to 7:30 - Mabon Ritual - The Grand Harvest

Welcome to the Witches Thanksgiving! The harvest is in and stored in anticipation of the barren months ahead. The hunter, meeting his needs, returns from the hunt with the stag. The work is completed and the festivities begin! Join HVGW in giving thanks for the bounties of summer as we prepare for the onset of autumn with this eclectic Wiccan-based ritual. This free event is family friendly and open to all ages!

7:30 - 9:00 - Pagan Thanksgiving Feast

Please feel free to bring a dish to share for the potluck and BYOB. The house will provide a meal to attendees with both vegan and gluten-free options available.

HVGW will also be holding our traditional Mabon Food Drive! Please bring non-perishable, non-expired food and household goods for your donation if you plan to attend. All donations go to the State College Food Bank. Before you donate, see their website for a list of their current needs:

9:00 - 10:00 - Bonfire and Social Time

Fun Pagan hangout time! Quiet musical instruments are welcome and s'mores may happen.

Please take note:

While this event is free, please consider donating to HVGW! The generous volunteers of HVGW take their time and money to make public Pagan programming happen for the Centre County area.  If you enjoy what we're doing and believe community Pagan spirituality should be available here, please consider supporting us! You can do this by a) becoming a member and paying dues (only $20.00 per year!) or b) offering a one-time donation to HVGW. All of your money will go to helping create and promote public events and classes. We are not yet a 501-C3 organization, but may become one someday - with your support!

Location will be provided on RSVP.  Please RSVP at https://bit.ly/HVGWMabon2023 by Thursday, September 14th. Provide the following information with your RSVP: Names of those who will attend and what if anything you are bringing for the meal, including any dietary restrictions. Please indicate if you are looking for a ride and where you need to be picked up and dropped off so this can be coordinated.
