2023 Member Meeting
For the 2023 meeting on Sunday, April 16 (2-4pm), we will be hosting the meeting hybrid in the Harshbarger room (104) of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State University Park main campus and virtual meeting room (URL announced to dues-paid membership list).
Dues will be collected. Membership applications will be collected.
Elections will be held for officer positions. All five elected officer positions are up for election. All incumbents have voiced willingness to serve again but welcome fresh blood. Secretary incumbent, Holly D has run the max 3 terms already and can only continue this role if unchallenged. Active dues-paid members in good standing are encouraged to consider serving on the board. In addition, a number of appointed positions are available for members who still want to help but who are not elected to an officer position. Nominations for elected positions may be submit through our nomination form; self nominations are welcome; a final call for nominations will be held during the meeting. If nominees accept the nomination, they are requested to either submit a short paragraph via email describing their interest and skills in serving for the position or to attend in person to deliver it verbally. Absentee ballots will be accepted via our absentee voting form prior to the meeting; in-person voting and final tallies will be held during the meeting.

Events being planned now include:
Possibly hosting a booth for HVGW at Boal Mansion's upcoming new event, "Celtic Fest" in early July as well as the "Boalsburg Renaissance Faire" scheduled for October
SolsticeFest with Hills and Rivers at Rhoneymeade on Sat, July 22
Member discussions included:
Changes to the dues payment schedule, price and possibly include multiple "tiers" to adjust to budgets. No actions to change the dues were motioned at this time, except to table this for further discussion at a later meeting and conduct further research.
How to improve the new process for submitting an event proposal. Feedback was taken for consideration.
The possibility for expanding the size of the board. This will require elaboration and further discussion. Tabled to continue at a future meeting. The board remains at 5 members for now.
