Welcome to HVGWs Midsummer page! Midsummer or Litha is both a time of high energy and excitement as the beginning of summer, and also another point on the Wheel where spirits may be more tangible for those who are open to their presence. We will be working in a more quiet manner this year by holding a High Tea around the bonfire for the local benevolent entities of Rhoneymeade, which may include faeries, deceased humans, land spirits and other beings. During our ceremonial tea, we will first make offerings in friendship to the unseen denizens beyond the Veil. Following that, we will practice some divinations for the second half of the year as we begin the journey back to the dark half of the year once again. You will have the chance to make your own tea blend with the herbs provided, or you may bring your own herbal tea if you so choose. Please also bring a vessel to sip from, if you have one you already use. Blankets for sitting will be provided but you may bring a chair as well. Alcohol will be present at this event but this is of course optional for all participants. We're looking forward to this low-key mellow recharge for Midsummer, and we hope to see you there!

Hail and Wassail!
