03-Ostara
HVGW will be celebrating Ostara (the Spring Equinox) with a Norse-themed scavenger hunt! We will gather together to search for the 9 Noble Virtues of Norse Paganism and help bring these values into our lives for a solid start to the new season. After the Hunt we will have a special ritual feast (called a “Blot”) of fellowship and celebration of the new spring. The meal will include meat and vegetarian options, however if you have special dietary needs please tell us in your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate. Sides, drinks, appetizers and desserts are all welcome additions to the offerings.
This event will happen rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. You may also want a chair in case we get a bonfire going outside. Ritual garb is encouraged but not necessary.
Kids are welcome – please let us know if you plan to bring your little ones. No pets allowed except for service animals.
Egg dying and Rune making begins at 2:00, with the Hunt to begin at 3:00 and Feast at 5:00.
Ostara will be held at a private residence, so RSVP is necessary for attendance. RSVP to happyvalleygoldenwheel@gmail.com by Wednesday March 13th.
